History and Outline

Toyama Prefecture drew up a plan to construct a traffic park for the citizen of the prefecture in 1983, and the plan was assessed as an important task of the traffic safety measures. After that, a practice bicycle course for traffic safety was constructed in 1984, and a traffic safety museum was constructed in 1985. In May 1986, the museum opened formally as the only educational facility for the traffic safety in Japan.

Project

Collection and Exhibition

On the 1st floor, displays and composes sophisticated and interactive equipments surveyed by the road traffic society of the 21 century which people able to use in a wide age bracket from children to seniors, based on the novel idea. On the 2nd floor, displays the traffic safety measures of Toyama, a region with heavy snowfalls, using panels.
