Yuminosato Historical and Cultural Museum
History and Outline
This museum was opened on Mar.27, 2003. It was installed as an institution for collection and exhibition of the historical and cultural heritage of Kamiichi-machi including the excavated articles of the town. At this 2 stories museum made of steel reinforced concrete, there are an office room, an exhibition hall, a multipurpose room, a special collection room, a wooden goods collection room, a public collection room and etc.

Collection and Exhibition
There are various historical and cultural heritages such as people implements and art works including excavated articles of Kamiichi-machi in this museum. In the permanent exhibition “Ruins teach us the History of Kamiichi”, we introduce the history of Kamiichi-machi from the Old Stone Age to medieval times. Moreover, 1-2 times of plan exhibition are held for a year.
