History and Outline

Opened in April 1983. The building of this museum used to be the head office of Chuetsu Bank, constructed in the latter part of the Meiji period, later dismantled it and reconstructed in the Tonami Tulip Park in 1979. This building was designated as a cultural asset of Tonami City in 1982 and has been used as a folk museum since April 1983.
