KOSHINOKUNI Museum of Literature
History and Outline
Toyama prefecture is the ground of the connection of Etchu-Manyoshu tanka collection which Yakamochi Otomo, a Manyo waka poet, composed no less than 223 waka poems and has produced many great writers such as Genyoshi Kadokawa, Keita Genji and Yoshie Hotta. There are also many literary works which made Toyama the stage such as “Hotaru-gawa” by Teru Miyamoto, “Kaze-no-Bon Koiuta” by Osamu Takahashi and etc. Toyama also produced Yojiro Takita and Katsuhide Motoki in the movie world and Fujiko Fujio A and Fujiko F. Fujio in the comic world.
This museum introduces the charm of artists and their works widely and where anyone gets close willingly and can learn about literature of Toyama.
