Botanic Gardens of Toyama
History and Outline
We had been constructing the Botanic Gardens of Toyama since 1989 and opened an outdoor exhibition garden in October 1993. We then constructed greenhouses for display and a sun-roofed hall and fully opened in April 1996. The Yunnann greenhouse was added to the garden in February 2000. The Botanic Gardens of Toyama is the first general botanic garden on the Japan Sea coast, equipped with necessary functions for a botanic garden to cultivate, preserve, investigate, and research plants.
